You deserve to be happy and live a fulfilling life! I understand that seeking help requires hard-fought courage. One of the largest hurdles might be asking for help and, with that in mind, I will meet you where you are at.
I have personally experienced mental health struggles that led me to therapy and the clear understanding (and proof) that healing is 100% possible! I am passionate about helping you realize and fulfill your potential to heal. This career path is deeply personal to me. I recognize the place you are in because I have been there myself.
I have found that attentive listening allows space for exploration, growth, non-judgment, discovery of new meanings, and closer connection. At the basis of what I strive to provide in therapy is a safe, open space that fosters growth, exploration, and healing.
I acknowledge my clients are unique individuals and understand that different therapy techniques will resonate differently with each client. I use cognitive behavioural therapy and motivational interviewing, as well as a variety of techniques that are strength-based, client-centered, and mindfulness-based in approach. As a therapist, I believe good work is based on the strength of the therapeutic relationship.
I have experience working within a mental health and addiction framework and a trauma informed lens.
Born and raised in Cranbrook I feel excited to be giving back to my home community through private practice. My path to becoming a therapist is heart-centered and deeply personal. I am continuously honoured and humbled to be a part of this journey with the people I work with. I have always been sensitive, empathetic, and a good listener.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family and friends and exploring the outdoors with my much loved Black Lab, Ariel. My interests include camping, hiking, and travel.
As a Counsellor, I hold certification with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (#10009217) and the Canadian College of Professional Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
